COLIN WOODROFFE BSc, LLB   PIPERS Senior Manager New Zealand Patent Attorney : Barrister and Solicitor

Colin was born in England and educated in New Zealand. After graduating from Auckland University in 1969, Colin trained as a Patent Attorney, later becoming a partner with AJ Park, a well-known New Zealand Patent Firm. Colin joined PIPERS in 2000 and has wide-ranging client list including multi-nationals, universities, and a number of high-profile individuals.

Colin primarily advises in patent matters, copyright, licensing and litigation and has gained huge respect among both Colleagues and Client’s in the specialist area of Sports law.

Colin is a fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and has served for several years as Council member and then as President of the New Zealand Institute.

Colin is a member of AIPPI, FICPI and APAA.
