NATALIE BANNISTER BSc (Pharmacology), LLB, FNZIPA, Patent Attorney   PIPERS, Senior Advisor Pharmaceutical & Veterinary Technologies Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand

Natalie Bannister joined the Auckland branch of PIPERS New Zealand in June 2000 and has worked in our United Kingdom Office, Piper Lambert in 2003 before returning to work here in Auckland. During her time with PIPERS (UK) Natalie acquired experience in drafting and prosecuting patent, design and trade mark applications in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe.

In New Zealand, Natalie assists local clients on a variety of intellectual property matters including patents, trade marks, designs and copyright and provides general and strategic advice to assist her clients in their decision making.

Having a legal background, Natalie’s practice also includes a major role as part of PIPERS Litigation department where she prepares infringement and validity opinions and assists in opposition and revocation actions before the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand, and the respective courts. Natalie also drafts various legal agreements such as licenses, assignments, employment, distribution and confidentiality contracts.

Natalie has a vivacious personality and is recognized by her colleagues for her astuteness, clarity and incisive thinking.

Natalie is a member of the NZIPA & IPSANZ

In her spare time Natalie enjoys spending time with her young family and renovating her home. She also enjoys running and cycling and has competed in various events over the years, including running the Auckland marathon.
