Denise joined PIPERS in 2001, bringing with her over 25 years experience in the combined fields of science, law, and Intellectual Property. She has experience both within industry and as a research scientist.
Denise’s practice includes all aspects of Patent, design, copyright and trademark law, and in contracts and conflict resolution. She has a special interest in biotechnology, horticulture and agriculture patents and in the area of plant variety rights and has gained an enviable reputation for assisting innovative biotech companies to achieve and surpass commercial targets.
Denise is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and represents PIPERS interests as a member of the Biotechnology Association of New Zealand.
When not representing clients or giving presentations on IP, Denise can be found in the garden, house renovating or trapped inside a good book.
