Jaime is Managing Director of the PIPERS Brisbane Division. While he is currently based in our Brisbane Office, he makes many journeys to Singapore and Malaysia to ensure that our Asian clients are well catered for. Jaime has vast experience in all areas of Patent Law and his practice includes an eclectic list of clients looking to build strong business alliances and maximize income potentials through robust patent, trademark & design portfolios. Jaime is an experienced litigator and strong negotiator and has a proven record in these areas.

Jaime has gained a considerable reputation among start-up companies and SME’s for his ability to use his Patent and Branding knowledge to work in-house with design and marketing teams and to lay an Intellectual Property platform so that they can hit the market running with their innovations.

As an Attorney, Jaime is familiar with most of areas of technology but has particular expertise in mechanical, information technology, biomedical engineering and biomechanical and sports patents. Jamie in his previous employment was a medical scientist at the Princess Alexandria Hospital in Brisbane and the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He has been a Tutor in Physiology at the University of Queensland and is a regular speaker for various educational and governmental organizations.

Jaime is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Patent Attorneys and the Institute of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys of Australia. He is also a member of APAA, ASEAN IPA, ASPA, AIPPI & FICPI and is an Affiliate Member of the Biomedical Engineering Chapter of the Institution of Engineers, Australia..
