MICHAEL GAMBITSIS BE (Civil); FNZIPA   PIPERS, Manager Building and Fixed Construction Department New Zealand Patent Attorney

Michael currently manages the Firm’s Building, Construction & Materials Sciences Division. He came to PIPERS in 2000 and works out of our Avondale Office in West Auckland.

Prior to joining PIPERS Michael worked for nine years as a Senior Examiner at the New Zealand Patent Office (IPONZ), latterly as Head of the Building and Fixed Constructions Section. Michael has also had extensive experience in Industry and has held senior positions with The New Zealand Railways and in the private sector with Wormalds (NZ) Limited.

Michaels’s Practice covers all aspects of Intellectual Property, but his primary focus is devoted to the drafting and advising of Patent and Design applications covering all Building related areas, particularly those involving new construction materials and building techniques. Michael has also had considerable experience in, and success at, assisting SME’s and start-up companies to gain footholds into what is renowned as being a very competitive market.

Michael received his Civil Engineering Degree from Auckland University and is a Fellow of NZIPA and an energetic member of IPSANZ
In his spare time Michael devotes his time to his family and to house renovations.
