 Information for Inventors

Printable page

These pages are designed exclusively to cater for inventors.

PIPERS has a thirty year tradition of helping inventors and SME’s realize their dreams and to help satisfy inventors desires to bring new ideas to the marketplace. Not all inventions are successes and not all inventors gain significant wealth from their inventions – in fact, most inventions never get to market. The Road from an idea to a sellable product is a long and testing one. Still, it is one that many travel and PIPERS is ready and willing to walk with you and guide you along the way.

The usual route of an inventor and an invention follows a natural path which begins with an idea, usually involves some form of search of the relevant literature followed by an experimental period before graduating through the prototype and scale-up phase to eventually lead to some form of licensing arrangement, full production and the final commercialization of the idea.

The following pages will endeavour to assist inventors by providing information to help them maximize the potential of any idea and to put in place strategies which will allow them to exploit their innovation to maximum effect. The pages will also contain useful links to Patent Offices round the world to help you understand the complexities of the Patent process so that before embarking on the patent journey risks may be minimized and the possibility of taking wrong turnings along the route reduced.

We wish you success in your travels and hope the adventure that you are about to begin is one that will be enjoyed.
